Concern Khlibprom presents Bread Lvivskyi trademark

Concern Khlibprom introduced a new brand Bread Lvivskyi on the market. The brand line is represented by different kinds of bread and cakes produced according to the Galician tradition of baking.

The fact that Bread Lvivskyi embodies a whole diversity of Western Ukrainian traditions is explained by the reason that Lviv always was the centre of traditions and trade routes of the entire region.

"Galicia has both rich heritage and cultural history that had a major impact on the bakery," comments the marketing director of JSC Concern Khlibprom Halyna Yanyshivska. "Galicia, Lemkivshchyna, Hutsulshchyna, Boikivshchyna, and Pokuttia – each region has its own authentic traditions and recipes. However, though our region is nowadays widely known for its confectionery, our bread unfairly takes a very modest niche. Therefore, the mission of this brand is the development of the culture of consumption of Galician products and the promotion of our baking achievements throughout Ukraine."

The new brand is represented first of all by "dark" breads – Bread with Cranberries, Cossack Bread with Lard, Lviv Malt Rye Bread with Sunflower, Dessert Bread with dried fruits and nuts, Lviv Malt Rye Bread with Raisins and a wheat bread Honey Bread with Prune. "We intentionally started with malt rye breads," says Halyna Yanyshivska. "This type of bread is especially respected in our city. In this, we see a huge impact of Austria and Germany on our history. The rye culture of these countries has evolved over the centuries and reflected in the gastronomy of all neighboring regions. Ukrainians borrowed the best recipes, adopting some of them to the local circumstances and making their own original recipes. Therefore, these recipes will be especially loved by the residents of our region."

Khlibprom operates in all the regions of the country and notes the presence of differences in taste preferences of their residents. The studies show that consumers, at this stage, are ready for new taste challenges. So during this year our company plans to expand the geography of distribution of Bread Lvivskyi.
